Crafted in recycled sterling silver with an 18k gold vermeil finish (2.5 microns), the Le Parfum Necklace draws inspiration from the sculptural silhouettes and streamlined geometry of Art Deco perfume bottles. The ridged cylindrical pendant recalls the decorative fluting and symmetry characteristic of the era, while the red jasper cabochon adds a rich ornamental detail. Designed as a functional perfume locket, the bottle opens with a screw-top closure, blending elegance with utility.

The Dévé x RÙADH collaboration was born out of friendship and a shared desire to create something considered, elevated, and beautiful. A true collaboration from beginning to end, it was a meeting of ideas, perspectives, and a mutual appreciation for thoughtful design and craftsmanship. We selected more sustainable materials and chose to produce in small batches, allowing us to be intentional about both the process and the pieces we created.

Sustainability

  • Boma employs some 200 craftspeople, many of whom have worked with the family-owned business for decades. Rooted in traditional techniques like lost wax casting, each piece passes through the hands of over 21 skilled artisans, preserving generations of craftsmanship while investing in the wellbeing and futures of its people.

Care Instructions

  • As it is a coating, gold vermeil will gradually tarnish through exposure to oxidising agents. Put on gold vermeil pieces as a finishing touch, after perfume and other products and avoid water and harsh chemicals when wearing them.
  • Keep gold vermeil pieces stored in their pouch and separate from other jewellery when unworn to avoid excess wear to plated surfaces.
  • To clean, gently wash gold vermeil pieces in warm water mixed with a few drops of mild dishwashing soap. Rinse thoroughly and leave to dry well on a soft cloth before returning the piece to its pouch for storage.
  • Additionally, a soft or non-abrasive jewellery cloth can be used to gently rub the surface in a circular motion to clean. However, silver polishing cloths should be avoided as they may damage the plating.
